Burlington needs a transportation network that moves people and goods efficiently, improves transit and mobility, and keeps costs manageable. Now is the time to move from plan to delivery.

Council has set a target to reduce reliance on personal vehicles through better transit and active transportation, but we are not there yet. More reliable options will ease congestion, reduce pollution and give residents more choice.
Proposed Initiatives
With your support, I propose to:
- Implement Signal Priority and Synchronized Traffic Lights Right Away: Improve traffic flow on main corridors with smarter signals, targeted turning lanes and data-driven investment so taxpayer dollars go further.
- Continue Hosting Transportation Town Halls: Use resident and expert knowledge to shape a new Congestion Management Plan that addresses surge congestion and reduces traffic pressure with action items and results.
- Update the Transit Plan with On-Demand Transit Pilot Programs: Test out neighbourhood hop-on hop-off and predictable routes to amenity districts and GO Stations, easing pressure on existing routes.
- Monitor and Mitigate Impacts of QEW / Burlington Skyway: Coordinate with government partners during emergency and planned lane closures, including the Guelph Line and North Shore Boulevard expansion (completion 2029), to develop an emergency diversion and construction management plan to reduce cut-through traffic on our local streets.
