I've represented Ward 2 at the City of Burlington and the Region of Halton since 2018, and I've served as Deputy Mayor of Engagement & Partnership since 2022.

Before that, I spent nearly a decade leading procurement at LifeLabs, one of Canada's largest diagnostic laboratory networks, negotiating multi-billion-dollar contracts and delivering millions in hard savings.

Budget approval – Final approval of City and Region budgets totalling roughly $2.5B, plus special funding allocations, debentures, investments and capital planning.
Strategic planning – A C-suite role focused on capital and operating budgets, and negotiation with dynamic stakeholders.
Relationship management – Building partnerships across community, corporate and government through engagement and structured negotiation.
Sustainable funding – Lead liaison to strategic partnerships that unlocked new funding streams for Burlington.

LifeLabs LLP, National & Toronto HQ — March 2010 to December 2018

$2.4B acquisition – Purchasing Manager on the LifeLabs acquisition of CML, harmonizing contracts and testing platforms ahead of schedule.
$4M in hard savings – Key lead on a $25M-per-year, five-year General Lab Supplies contract, harmonizing the supplier base.
Strategic sourcing – Contract negotiation, technology planning, capital budget cycles and continuous improvement.
Executive supplier reviews – With BD, Siemens, Roche, Bio-Rad, Fisher Scientific, VWR, Stevens, Sysmex and DiaSorin.

Titan Outdoor, Toronto — January 2008 to March 2010

Growth through acquisition – Feasibility reports, acquisition negotiations and diligence against aggressive EBITDA targets.
Policy development – Shaped the Toronto harmonized by-law through public consultations, legal counsel and not-for-profits.
Financial resilience – Protected the company through the 2008 downturn by re-negotiating contracts.

Healthcare procurement – Embedded at Toronto Grace palliative care hospital, working with the group purchasing organization to leverage aggregated buying power.
Over-target savings – Delivered through product evaluations and collective contract optimization.
